I had the most amazing and early summer treat last March 13 to 17, 2009. Guess where I went? My dream place in Visayas- Boracay. I only imagine it before and never in my dreams that I can be there-until last March 14, 2009.(Thank goodness for Cebu Pacific Air, who made our trip possible and safe too.)
Too bad though, I miss the Araw ng Dabaw celebration but I can say I would trade Araw ng Dabaw again for Boracay.hehehe. (Bad Shieryl!). Fortunately, my mother said this year's celebration is quite bland or not quite merry as compared to last year.
We actually traveled in Iloilo for almost 9 hours but with drop offs at Roxas City-the seafood capital of Iloilo for lunch and picture taking galore at Sampaguita Gardens.

This the wonderful view of Roxas City and many restaurants near the beach are waiting to fulfill your seafood desire. (Trivia: The ancestral home of our former president, Manuel Roxas is in Roxas City.)

Yum..Yumm..I can still remember the taste of it! The crabs in Roxas City only cost Php 50.00 each and you can choose how to prepare it.

What really amazes me is the "talaba" that only cost Php 25.00 per plate/bowl. Sooo cheap.hehehe. I even forgot to eat in moderation and due to too much "talaba", I experienced an upset tummy while traveling to Aklan.AAArrrGGGhhhh!!!

After a hearty meal in Roxas City, we traveled almost an hour to Aklan to see Sampaguita Gardens. The place is like fairy tale land and it looks like the green house in the picture is made of candies and cookies.
It's like being transported to a different place and time(?). It was scorching hot here but I didn't mind as long as I am enjoying and exploring.

Inside the green house are dolls of different sizes, colors, faces and characters. I love this life size doll soo much, too bad it's soo heavy to steal and too big too hide.hehehe(Bad Shieryl!)

Sampaguita Gardens is also offering affordable accommodations and you get to stay near the beach. The place is soo romantic and soo serene that it invites you too daydream under the heat of the sun.
Haaayyyy
