FASCINATION WITH MAILBOXES

The Korean movie that I saw last weekend started my fascination with mailboxes. The title of the movie is Il Mare. I am sure some of you are very familiar with the American version of the movie, The Lake House. I saw both movie but I kinda like the Korean movie more.

The story began when two person from different time but the same house began exchanging letters in the same mailbox. Weird isn't it?

I guess love knows no bounds and time. I started to wonder if people will start using mail boxes again instead of SMS and e-mails. It would be romantic,exchanging letters but would take a lot of patience-waiting for the reply letter and writing thoughts too.

The mail box in the movie is the magical medium and made their love possible. Sometimes being patient and curious makes all the effort worthwhile. I guess today, it's different since SMS and e-mails are just around the corner.
