FIVE LESSONS IN TREATING PEOPLE

  • Mood:
I'LL BE SHARING WITH YOU THE FIVE LESSONS IN TREATING PEOPLE...IT WOULD BE TOO LONG TO POST ALL FIVE SO I'LL POST THE FIRST AND SECOND LESSON FIRST. IT HAS HELPED ME UNDERSTAND THE PEOPLE AROUND ME AND VALUE THEM.

1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.

During my second month of college, our professor
gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student
and had breezed through the questions until I read
the last one:

"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"
Surely this was some kind of joke. I
had seen the
cleaning woman several times. She was tall,
dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name?

I handed in my paper, leaving the last question
blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if
the last question would count toward our quiz grade.

"Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers,
you will meet many people. All are significant. They
deserve your attention and care, even if all you do
is smile and say "hello."

I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her
name was Dorothy.

2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 p.m.
, an older African American
woman was standing on the side of an Alabama
highway
trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had
broken down and she desperately needed a ride.
Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.
A young white man stopped to help her, generally
unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960's. The man
took her to safety, helped her get assistance and
put her into a taxicab.

She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrot e down his
address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a
knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a
giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A
special note was attached..

It read:
"Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway
the other night. The rain drenched not only my
clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along.
Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying
husband's bedside just before he passed away... God
bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving
others."

Sincerely,
Mrs. Nat King Cole

2. Add your name (linked to your blog)
3. Tag everybody else!

Kid’s Question #1If you were the ruler of the world and you could have anything you wanted as well as have people do anything you wanted, do you think you would get greedy and mean or would you be a good and fair ruler?

I would probably be greedy and mean to people who are mean and greedy to me before.(bwahahaha) but a good and fair ruler to people who are nice to me.

ADDICTION TO TV SERIES

  • Mood:
If you won't see me post here, it's because I am probably glued to the TV screen. I am fond of TV series, from Gilmore Girls, Charmed( back in college), Will and Grace(so hilarious!), Seventh Heaven, 24, Alias, CSI and Prison Break.etc.

Even Korean series didn't escape me.(hehehe). Jumong, Jewel in the Palace, The Spring Waltz, Winter Sonata, Summer Scent, Autumn in my Heart, much and more..hehehe.

I had my eyes set on the Season 3 of Prison Break and it is currently shown in FOX TV. I am also curious on Gossip Girl TV series, Supernatural and Heroes.

Wheeewww, so many things to do and watch but so little time. I gotta grab one of this series and talk about them later.

ANNYEONG HASEYO!!

  • Mood:

This is my favorite Korean movie and I have watched it many times. (I simply can't get enough of it!!)

INNOCENT STEPS

Moon Geun-Young, star of the hit romantic comedy My Little Bride, takes the lead role in Innocent Steps, romantic comedy from director Park Young-Hun. The teen idol plays Jang Chae-Ryn, an ethnic Korean living in China, who finds herself to be a complete fish out of water after being transplanted abroad to South Korea. When her sister bows out of a dummy marriage to a champion dance instructor, Chae-Ryn decides to travel to Seoul herself and impersonate her sister. Once in South Korea, she meets Na Young-Sae (Park Geon-Hyeong), who has agreed to the sham marriage for the sole purpose of locating a new dance partner. It seems he's looking to replace the one he lost to his rival, the dastardly Jeong Hyeon-Su (Yoon Chan). But when Chae-Ryn's secret and her lack of dancing experience is revealed, Young-Sae wants to send his new bride back. Eventually, however, he has second thoughts and decides that his only hope is to train this wide-eyed novice himself. Of course, the practices start off as purely professional, but as Chae-Ryn begins to dedicate herself to the art of dancing, a connection between the newlyweds begins to take shape. Chae-Ryn's youthful exuberance and folksy way of speaking eventually charms Young-Sae's hardened heart. A subplot follows two immigration officers who seek to expose the couple's secret, but eventually end up rooting for the two to stay together.
